Going Viral with Video
One video can be distributed to SO MANY channels of media, the busiest channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and now also cool little things like twit vid too - this is how they become viral - when someone likes what it is you say - they share it - and from there - someone else shares it - it's kind of like a MASSIVE GAME of chinese whispers!
Not only that, unlike other forms of marketing, the longer a video stays online, the more momentum it builds and the more power it has. Other people can put your video on their site; exposing you to a market you never knew you had! Not to mention the fact that you can specifically keyword target audiences - lol, as you can see I am a massive lover of video, they;re a fun way to get yourself on line being the powerful person that you are!
BTW - If you don't want your head on the camera - why not consider powerpoint presentations or using a program such as Camtasia or ScreenFlow to do tutorials etc?!
Practice makes perfect though, the more you do it, the more confident you become. I will never forget making my first video and publishing it to YouTube. It gave me the biggest adrenaline rush knowing that I could actually communicate with people all over the world. My partner hated it - he thought some loony from a foreign country would track me down and kidnap me in the middle of the night - however - he has now adjusted to me being all over the place with video!
If you're not marketing with video just yet - it is definitely something you should consider incorporating in to your marketing funnel -as the EXPOSURE is MASSIVE!
